Girls/Women biological get menstruation thirteen times a year and a country where people make barely less than a dollar a day, it is difficult for women and girls to buy one time use pads every month and if they can get and use they are not properly disposed, therefore are bio-hazard and add to the landfill. Non-profit Agencies and organizations that provide pads do not provide every month, hence women/girls use anything that can help them including dirt pieces of clothes or used clothes known as (who died) that are not hygienic.Girls miss school three to four days a month when they don’t quality pads.

Soma Eco Pads intends to make available locally reusable pads and other uniforms at affordable prices where quality is considered in every step and all product are environment friendly.

We envision that No Girl/Women is left behind because of their biological make.

We are setting up the small plant where these reusable pads are produced locally by Somali women and in this way we can empower women through training and employment.
